Description
In Cracow, at 155
grammar school on 21 PułkLotniczy 21 neighborhood, a new in-door swimming pool
will be constructed. Its design, following the order of the Board of Sports
Infrastructure has been developed by Kontrapunkt V-Project Investment Team. The
prevailing idea is to create an economic and energy-saving complex, equipped
among others with solar collectors and heat recuperators. Such swimming pool,
when maintaining its full functions will have a very contained block and will
be far from infalted architectonic shapes. In order to decrease the
construction costs, the design contemplates the maximum possible use of
prefabricated elements assemblied on the spot. In the first phase, the design
work conducted under the supervision of Arch. Miłosz Sanetra aim at minimizing
earth works that, very often, postpone the completion of the investment.
The pool of the
dimensions 25m x 16m and the depth 1.8-1.2m is fully adapted to the needs of
the disabled. In the main hall, there is also a training pool, a beginner pool,
SPA module and toddler swimming area with lots of attractions. Little gymnasium
hall right at the pool is adapted to fitness classes, dance classes and
rhythmic classes.
The designers have
planned to apply simple technical solutions that are efficient at the stage of
the construction and also when managing or using the pool. The building will
have energy saving solutions, such as solar energy collectors used to warm tap
water and heat recovery from exhausted air. The designed technology of pool
water treatment, consisting in the production of sodium hypochlorite of low
concentration of simple domestic salt does not have an adverse impact on the
environment, and at the same time, guarantees lower maintenance costs.
