The Architecture of the building is our try to answer one but not a very simple question: how should an architecture of a modern, little bit provincial Polish town would be looking nowadays?

Wieliczka is situated within 12km from Cracow and because of its precious Salt Mine for the whole ages was the source of an economic power of Cracow. Nowadays it gains back its importance as a tourist center.

Realized by our design Tax Office is located directly above one of the underground mine’ s chambers, so it was unavoidable necessity to design the building adjusted and resistant to mining damages.

Simple in expression Tax Office is situated between corner of the Main Square and the park of Zamek Zupny, it was slightly modified to the surrounding historic development but a modern character of the building was still preserved at the same time.
