Thanks to the efforts of the architects from Kontrapunkt V-Projekt Project Investment Team and the officials of the Praga Północ District in Warsaw, a building permit for the spatial revitalisation of the historical Fort Sliwicki has been obtained. The municipal housing estate will include residential buildings, playgrounds, bicycle theme park and a multi-storey car park.
The system of internal squares and green areas reflects, in contemporary form, the shape of embankments that were once here. Tall brick buildings are enclosed in the historical fortifications layout, and in the front of the fort, the low, smoothly plastered buildings are located. Concrete facade of the car park is a reference to defensive architecture. The preparatory work on the site has currently begun, among others, demolition of temporary buildings.
