Disappearing grandstand of the Sports and Rehabilitation Center

On the Olympic-size swimming pool of the Sports and Rehabilitation Center of the Medical University of Warsaw, Kontrapunkt V-Projekt Team is designing an original state-of-the-art movable grandstand that will be able to hold approximately 380 spectators. According to the philosophy of the Kontrapunkt V-Projekt Team, assuming optimal space use and facing individual investor’s needs, the structure will be unfolded only for competitions, which will contribute to reducing its maintenance costs. So as this magic trick, almost like from David Copperfield's performance could be viable, the grandstands weighing 120 tons, will be supported on five servomotors provided by BUMAR, a company that specializes in the production of heavy military and police equipment.
