The Kontrapunkt Team has begun design works concerning the renovation of the building at the crossroads of Lobzowska Street and Slowackiego Avenue in Cracow.
The building was raised in the year 1929 according to a design by Ludwik Wojtyczka and it is a great example of Polish architecture of a modernism time. Undoubtedly one of the most interesting examples of the Cracovian interwar housing with a respect to the shape of a block and a composition of the elevation. The designer contrasted the white plaster with the black plinth and decoration made of black ceramics which seize the windows in vertical strips. The Smooth tiles were planed to intensify light reflexes upon an impact of a sunlight. Only renovation works can bring back the intention of architect Wojtyczka into live again.
