After finishing renovation works, the12 of the April 2007 the ceremonial opening of the main hall of The Academic Dormitory St. Pigon’s name belonging to Jagiellonian University has taken place at Garbarska Street in Cracow.
The rebuilding design and renovation
works were conducted by and under supervision of The Team Kontrapunkt v-projekt.
Redesigned details like doors, reception, lightening and some other articles
are compounded to create an elegant and modern interior adjusted to the historic building. The whole dormitory
comes up to the all fire standards.
In the historic moment of handing
the building to a public use have taken part representatives of the university.
Guest of honour were Rector of The Jagiellonian University prof. dr hab. Karol
Musioł and vice-rector for human resources and financial politics prof. dr hab.
Władysław Miodunka.
